What's In It For The Kids? Families at Bear Music Fest

All you kids out there...
Congrats on finishing the first week of school!
Time for a vacation! ;)

Seriously, who doesn't need one more weekend of summer? We have some fun activities and very special programs provided by the the Lair staff and even the Bear Music Fest artists themselves! Of course, kids are welcome and encouraged at the shows, but just in case you aren’t into "your parent’s music," take a look below for what else is in store for you.

BMF Artist Programs

Activities Ideal for ages 7 - 12

Q Brothers Hip Hop Workshop

Work directly with the Q Brothers learning how to rap and make beats. Kids will get to lay down their very own hip hop track in a matter of minutes and take home their finished creations.

Bayonics' Beats & Drumming Workshop

Inspired by the recent Rio Olympics, join Pete from the Bayonics to learn some Brazilian beats. Participants will use drumsticks and paint buckets to learn basic drumming techniques. Open to all ages (but kids will get preference on the paint buckets!).

Let’s Talk Pokemon!

Watch the Eric Stuart Band on Sunday and then hang out with him afterwards to talk about Pokémon, the new Yu-Gi-Oh movie, and what it’s like to work on animated films. Eric is the voice of numerous characters including Brock, James, Seto Kaiba and others. Check out Eric Stuart's Voice Acting video for a sneak preview.

DIY Songwriting with Festival Artists

Join Eugene Marie and our lineup of festival artists for a special look at how to write great songs. Each artist will offer their own perspective on how they approach songwriting and will work with small groups to songwrite on the spot.

Rockstar Lair Staff!

The bands aren’t the only ROCKSTARS we will have a Bear Music Fest! We grabbed some the Lair's best camp counselors to provide the unique experience the Lair of the Bear is known for.

Camp Activities

Activities Ideal for ages 3 - 12

S’Mores & More - We will have our own campfire followed by a Dining Hall Movie Night!

Teddy Bear Picnic - Make Bear Crowns, hike to the Bear, and decorate it for a picnic!

Dinosaur Nature Walk - It starts with a creek walk then a Dinosaur Egg Hunt and finally Volcano making!

Transcendent Treasure Hunt - Work together as a team to solve the clues and find the booty!?

Gaga Ball! - Meet at the DH and get ready to dip, duck, dive, and DODGE!

Kids, if you aren’t signed up yet, it’s time to put the hard sell on your parents! Can’t wait to see you all in the mountains!
