BMF "Street Team" Promo Kit

Help us get great folks to Bear Music Fest!

We are a word of mouth festival.  We purposely aren't big and don't do a lot of advertising. We rely on the quality of the experience and YOU to spread the word.  Our aim is to build a community around the love of nature and the excitement of discovering new artists and so high quality guests are just as important as our high quality performances.

We are a personalized festival where artist and audience co-mingle and music is experienced up close in a natural setting while, as John Muir said perfectly, "cares will drop off like autumn leaves."

How do you explain this to your friends, families, co-workers, random people you meet on planes...?  Let's see if we can help.

Below are sample social posts, emails, photos & logos that you can use to promote the festival.  There is also a form below that you can fill out if you would like to receive posters, postcards & stickers to handout and post around your community.  Feel free to share in the comments how you best explain Bear Music Fest!

Short Version

SUBJECT: Come Join Me at Bear Music Fest in Sept

Hi {Your Friend},

Because you are a music lover like me, I am writing to let you know about a special music festival that I discovered in the Sierras not far from Yosemite.

Dates: Sept 7 - 9, 2018 (early arrival Sept 6 & late departure Sept 10)
Location: The Lair of the Bear, located in Pinecrest, CA 95364 (It's a summer camp owned and operated by the UC Berkeley Alumni Association)

Here are the reasons it is awesome!

Size - It's small and personal (less than 800 people!)  Some pics: http://bearmusicfest.com/photos.
All-Inclusive - Food & lodging are included.  Bring a sleeping bag (or sheets) and pillow and you're good to go.  And it's BYOB!
Quality of artists - Amazing.  Bands are from all over the US and some of the same ones you would see at BottleRock, Bonnaroo, High Sierra.  And when they're not performing, the artists are hanging out! With you!
Vibe - The festival calls itself "a house party in the woods". Good description.  Think trees, campfires, pool, hot tub, ping pong, shuffleboard, impromptu cocktail parties and performances under the stars.

We already reserved our cabin and if you use this link you can join our group, get a discount and request your cabin near ours: {http://passes.bearmusic.fest.com/[YOUR GROUP NAME] or use this our general link: http://bearmusicfest.com/passes}

The festival is still under the radar, so we want to get our friends signed up before it totally sells out!

SUBJECT: Come Join Me at Bear Music Fest in Sept

Hi {Your Friend},

Because you are a music lover like me, I am writing to let you know about a special music festival that I discovered in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains, not far from Yosemite.  Of course, we all know there are many great music festivals out there, but this one, held in early Sept, is unique for a number of reasons.

Size - It's small and personal (less than 800 people!)  The setting is at a summer camp called The Lair of the Bear, located in Pinecrest, CA and owned and operated by the UC Berkeley Alumni Association.  Stages are nestled in the trees, around campfires, by the pool and hot tub and on the deck of a lodge under the stars.  Take a look at some great pictures: http://bearmusicfest.com/photos.

All-Inclusive - Bring a sleeping bag (or sheets) and pillow and you're good to go!  The cost of your pass include all your meals, lodging and the shows.  You won't be pulling your wallet out every 30 minutes for bottled water or overpriced tacos. And it's BYOB!

Quality of artists - The artists are amazing.  It's not local bands from the area or even just CA.  They bring in artists from New York, Nashville, Chicago, New Orleans and also of course, LA & the SF Bay Area.  Many of these artists also play major US festivals such as BottleRock, Bonnaroo, High Sierra and more.  When not performing, the artists are guests hanging out with the rest of us!

Vibe - The festival calls itself "a house party in the woods" and that is a pretty good description.  It feels like going away with friends for the weekend (with a lot less planning to do.)  There is ample time for walks to the lake, dips in the pool, and a round of ping pong, shuffleboard or even tennis, and impromptu cocktail parties sprout up around people's cabins. There are also music workshops and jam sessions during the weekend.

The festival runs Sept 7th - 9th this year, although you can arrive on the 6th and leave on the 10th if that works better with your schedule.  I would love it if you would consider joining me this year. Don't wait too long as cabins are selling out fast (word is getting out)! We already reserved our cabin and if you use this link you can join our group, get a discount and request your cabin near ours:

The festival is still a little under the radar, so we would love to get our friends signed up before it totally sells out! Feel free to share this email.

Hope to see you in the mountains,
